The Scout Drive Mobility Scooter is designed to be comfortable and stylish as well as offering outstanding performance and reliability. Extremely compact, the Scout Drive Mobility Scooter is ideal for use either indoors or outdoors and also features the next generation Drive splitting mechanism, ensuring its body can be taken apart in seconds. This makes it ideal both for storage and transportation. Fitted with a height adjustable and comfortable seat which swivels 360°, this mobility scooter also has width adjustable arms enable the user to obtain a perfect sitting position. The automatic electromagnetic brake system offers a superior braking action for improved user safety. As standard, the Scout Drive Mobility Scooter comes fitted with a 12 amp battery pack that gives an excellent range of up to 10 miles and an ideal top speed of 4 mph.
This Scout Drive Mobility Scooter comes fitted with strong black tyres to give the user increased peace of mind.For additional convenience, this scooter also features a removable storage basket at the front that is ideal for storing shopping and other small items.

What counts as a long-term illness or disability?
For VAT purposes, you have a long-term illness or you are disabled if you meet any of the following conditions:
- You have a physical or mental impairment which has a long-term and substantial adverse effect upon your ability to carry out everyday activities
- you have a condition that the medical profession treats as a chronic sickness, such as diabetes
- you are terminally ill
So, you don't qualify if you are elderly but otherwise able-bodied, or if you're only temporarily disabled or incapacitated.
You don't have to physically buy the goods in person. If your parent, guardian, wife or husband buys the goods and services for you, then you won't be charged VAT.
What counts as personal or domestic use?
Personal or domestic use means that the goods or services are supplied for your own private use, rather than for business purposes.
Also, the goods or services must be just for your own use - not for use by anyone else, or chronically sick or disabled people in general.
However, if you and your partner are both chronically sick or disabled and you buy goods or services for both of you to use, then you won't have to pay VAT.
